Who We Are

Business Tech News, BTN, covers the intersection of capital and code: AI, markets, big tech, fintech, and crypto. We are independent, opinionated, and US-focused, with a small editorial desk that asks the question that money pages too often skip: why.

Our register is plain, our take is sharp, and our scope is the global money-and-machines beat. Model launches, lawsuits, capital flows, infrastructure plays, regulatory turns. If a name is on the cap table, the docket, or the SEC filing, we want to know what changed and what it means tomorrow morning.

How We Report

BTN is independent. We publish without a paywall. We are opinionated where we have evidence, and conservative where we do not. Our editorial process is small, which we like: every fact gets sourced, every source gets checked, and every disclosure goes in the byline or the Editorial Standards page.

You will sometimes see search results conflate Business Tech News with publications that share part of our name. The South African title BusinessTech (businesstech.co.za) is a separate, older publication, owned by Broad Media and based in Johannesburg. We are unrelated. BTN is a US-focused, AI-and-markets daily run from a small editorial desk. If you came here looking for South African business news, that is not us, and we will gladly point the way.
